Call of Duty: World at War Patch 1.7 brings various improvements to CoD: WaW. Of course, World at War is the popular first-person shooter in the Call of Duty franchise. The patch itself is relatively small but brings some notable changes to the game. Most players will want to download this patch as soon as it's available. Otherwise, they'll be missing out on new content and gameplay improvements. An automatic update should start for the patch after a user launches WaW, but manual installation may be required.
World at War Improved, New Content Added to The Game
First and foremost, the 1.7 Patch adds three new multiplayer maps to the game. Station, Kneedeep, and Nightfire will keep the frenetic action going for hours to come. Each map features a unique layout with nooks and crannies as well as sniper alleys. Before too long, a player will learn the maps and feel at home in the game once again. All three maps are welcome additions to the game and keep the action going without pause.
A new spawn system has been implemented into multiplayer with the patch as well. With this system, players should notice better spawning locations. They'll spawn away from other players rather than in the middle of enemy territory. Spawn killing should be less of a problem than ever before with this patch. Also, a new zombies map has been added to the game, which reveals even more information in the zombies saga.
Like any other patch, 1.7 includes gameplay improvements and bug fixes. Many players noticed lag while shooting at tanks in the game. The patch removes this lag entirely and smoothens out other gameplay elements. Better performance ensures this gritty title is fun, rather than frustrating, to play. After downloading the patch, each player should notice the game runs without too many bugs and glitches.
Unfortunately, the 1.7 Patch doesn't fix every problem found in World at War. Players may still notice notorious campaign and multiplayer glitches during play. WaW's new spawn system isn't necessarily perfect, either. New weapons could have been added to the game, so that could be a disappointing omission for players. Without a doubt, more could have been included here in order to appease CoD players.
Is The 1.7 Patch Worth Downloading?
Players will need the 1.7 Patch to keep playing online against friends and strangers. Therefore, the patch is more mandatory than a recommendation. A lot more good comes from the patch than bad, though. Nothing will be broken within the game by downloading this patch. Patch 1.7 brings new content to the game while smoothing out minor issues, and that's more than enough of a reason to download it immediately.

Call of Duty World at War Patch 1.4 is an update for the Call of Duty World at War PC game.
The Call of Duty series of first-person shooter games offers players a chance to become soldiers fighting in armies around the world and on secret op missions. Due to the size of the software and its popularity, it often has multiple releases of patches for each game after release. Players will find a glitch here or a crash there, and the software engineers for publishers Activision and Square Enix begin to work on ways for the software to run better and to fix any mistakes or 'bugs'.
The most recent update/patch is Call of Duty World at War Patch 1.4. In this patch for the game, there are three new multiplayer maps known as Kneedeep, Station, and Nightfire. Kneedeep takes players to the island of Peleliu. The setting is a village which has now become a Japanese command centre. Playing sides are Imperial Japanese Army and the Marine Raiders. The troop mission is to get valuable information from the command post. Terrain includes jungles, streams, and Japanese bunkers. This map is good for larger groups of multiplayer teams.
Station is an underground Berlin train station scenario. Teams are the Red Army and the Wehrmacht. The train cars have been bombed out and are scattered all throughout this medium-sized map, while lots of hidden and not-so-hidden tunnels offer cover and adventure.
Nightfire, the third map included with the Call of Duty World at War Patch 1.4 is a city-level map set in Berlin during a war, either at night or so bombed out it seems like night save for the flames of burning buildings all aroudn the player. This map also features Red Army against Wehrmacht. Suited for medium to large team games, Nightfire is actually the same map as the one used in the mission Eviction. Also, the Der Riese Zombie map is based on Nightfire.
Call of Duty World at War Patch 1.4 also has a Nazi Zombies map. There are more weapons, electroshock defenses, and even Perks-a-Cola vending machines for thirsty zom-err players. Spawning works better in the latest patch as well, and when players are running through objectives, they are not auto-balanced anymore.
In modifications, a MissingAssets.csv can be generated if maps are run using developer set on 1. Also the hold breath and sprint functions work as they were intended to. IWD's can now be saved to the usermaps folder.
Previous issues with lag that was caused when shooting at tanks have currently been repaired, and during Search and Destroy rifle grenades fired before the 15 seconds elapse time come out as duds. Hardcore game mode players who equip a Bouncing Betty and use melee are now appropriately corrected with a penalty for team kill. Other deductions (200 points) currently occur in the same scenario if team killing the bomb planter or the bomb defuser. Direct impact deaths are no longer an option via Martyrdom, and 'bayonet jumping' has also been turned off.

- New maps
- New weapons
- Cool Zombie Nazis to kill

If you are one of the millions of players who experienced glitches and other problems when playing Call of Duty: World at War, download this patch to improve your overall game play.
Call of Duty ranks as one of the most popular battle and war games of all times, and it now features a number of other games and titles in the franchise. World at War amps up the action and offers more adult situations than you saw in previous titles. While working with computer-generated players, you fight your way through a game set during World War II. Its campaign mode allows you to play on your own and features cards hidden in each level. Finding these cards will unlock new weapons and supplies.
The game also comes with a multiplayer option, and when you play online, you can join a team with five other players and compete against other players. The better you do in each battle, the more points you can earn; enabling you to reach a higher ranking. A co-op mode is also available that allows you to play with up to three other people online, but you can also play in the co-op mode with friends who are in the room with you. Like other Call of Duty games, it also comes with a mini game that lets you battle zombies on your own or as part of a team.
This patch automatically removes some of the problems previously experienced in the game. A common problem that occurred before was when players died on the battlefield. Instead of spawning in a safe location, you often found yourself spawning right in front of an enemy and quickly dying again. The patch changes this feature and helps you spawn in a better and safer spot on the battlefield. It also added penalties for players who killed their teammates or used glitches to score more points.
When you download and install this patch for Call of Duty: World at War, you also gain access to four new maps. Three of those maps allow you to play with your teammates against others, and the fourth map adds a new level of play against zombie combatants. To solve all glitches and problems though, you will need to download and use other patches.
